Chappell Roan’s film debut Seriously though I’ve been hyped for this movie since it was announced and for me it definitely lived up to the hype. After Barbarian this is a follow up that I believe improves upon some of Barbarians negatives. Zach Cregger is becoming one of my fav horror directors and writers at the moment. I love the way he uses perspectives similar to how he did in Barbarian just bumped up to 11. The mystery is beautifully unraveled throughout the movie and has some great tense and eerie moments that then become horrifying gross and disturbing all at the same time. The performances by Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, and Amy Madigan are all amazing but for me Madigan’s performance stands out. This has me hyped for Cregger’s next film Resident Evil and I think he can handle the tone perfectly.
