Raw, gritty, and grounded. Oscar-worthy performances from Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro. Cinematography and soundtrack are fantastic. Three of the best scenes in cinema history: the Mexico introduction scene, arriving at the tunnel scene, and Del Toro avenging his family scene. Emily Blunt is one of the most overrated actresses ever—bland, no charisma. The fact that she’s the lead while Brolin and Del Toro are sidelined is almost laughable, clearly a woke choice. She and Daniel Kaluuya wasted my time. Seeing Brolin and Del Toro together on screen was mesmerizing. Could easily be Brolin’s best performance. I need more of that duo.
