Misery

Man, Kathy Bates rules. Obviously James Caan is great, but this is literally a career-making role for Kathy Bates. Anyways, there's pretty much nothing I can say about this that hasn't already been said, so I won't waste too much time here. I love time crunch thriller scenes, where you're seeing someone's time swiftly running out as they try to get into position. And man, when he's sitting in that chair sweating and trying to trick her, it's transcendent stuff. About the ending: smile through the horror. "You see, it's just that kind of sarcasm that's given our marriage real spice." alt. quote: Wilkes told reporters on Courthouse steps. "There is a higher justice than that of man, I will be judged by Him."
