Twinless

I didn’t watch a single trailer for this movie. Just hopped in the car with Jonathan and headed to Chatt! What a INSANE surprise. Dylan O’Brien turns in maybe my favorite performance of the year and one of my favorite performances ever, no exaggeration. I had not seen this dude since Teen Wolf when I was a kid. O’Brien’s performance throughout carried each and every emotion in both twins he played. He was never out of his element or out of his range; it was perfect. The scene with Roman in the hotel “speaking to Rocky” made me cry. That shot lingering on O’Brien as he shatters the protective shield he’d had for years and just weeps wrecked me. Incredible scene and acting. Roman as a whole is an incredible character. James Sweeney’s second film as director (and co-main character) is quite marvelous. He takes a ton of risks visually and in post that I’d never seen before and nearly all of it works. Specifically, the party scene had me and Jonathan doing the Vince McMahon gif. Legitimately perfect Shoutout Aisling Franciosi for playing the most lovable character OAT maybe! Haha
