La La Land

I've put off watching this film for a while because I kept being told that the ending was sad and I've seen too many sad movies already. But after watching it I really don't feel that the ending is meant to be sad. Both of them are artists and believe in their work above everything else and furthermore pushed each other to get themselves to the point they are at within their art medium. Unfortunately, not all relationships are meant to last forever but as the old adage goes 'Never regret the love you gave'. I think that is the main message of the movie. No matter what may become of it, we give love because we want it and by putting more of it into the world, it will undoubtedly come back around to us.
