having seen this twice and whispered "oh my god" at least once both times, i think i understand not only the fact that we live in a permanent state of threat which can be partially attributed to the ambivalence and irresponsibility of people who are otherwise genius, but how to tell white men in films apart. just got off the phone with the academy and they've already got nolan's name on the director oscar, it's just a given isn't it?
