The Whale
This film is very well done. There aren’t really any “beautiful shots”, as its shot in only one place, but the acting is phenomenal, the story is straightforward and simple, and it talks about a very real topic. For me, it has a perfect ending.
He regretted everything, how he treated his wife, the decisions he made in life, and even how he handled the rejection faced for being gay. But by the time he realized all of this, it was already too late.
He’s left with a divorced wife, a dead partner, and a daughter who he thinks might honestly be better off without him. In the end, he had completely lost his love to live.
