Superman

I think this is one of the bravest mainstream films to come out in recent memory. In a time where people are afraid, afraid of speaking out against the oppression that doesn’t necessarily affect them directly or presently, it feels like an act of rebellion to care, to really care, to choose empathy. It is so important to remind ourselves that looking out for each other isn’t a weakness, it’s the most radical thing we can do. Caring for others, standing against oppression, against genocide, against ethnic cleansing, against mass surveillance, and against the selfish interest of the elites is (and will always be) punk rock. Maybe even more than that: it’s human! And in a world that constantly tries to take away that softness from us, to numb us with spectacle and noise, this movie dares to feel. It dares to remember. And that’s worth everything. Woke is so back. Fuck israel and fuck ice and every imperialist and occupational force! Free Palestine 🇵🇸 y viva México 🇲🇽 !!! In Gaza, people are being starved, and according to UNRWA, this is a manmade and politically motivated starvation of a people. More than 800 Gazans died of hunger in just a few days. Please speak up.
