Perfect Days
“So many things I still don’t know… that’s how life ends, I guess”
Perfect Days is one of those quiet films that somehow says a lot without ever raising its voice. It’s slow, simple, and honest, and that’s exactly what makes it so affecting.
Watching Hirayama find peace in the smallest routines, a favorite song, light through the trees, a smile, reminded me how much there is to appreciate, even on bad days or hard times. It’s not about avoiding bad days, but learning to carry them with a certain grace.
The film left me feeling grounded, and oddly hopeful. It doesn’t offer answers, but it holds space, the kind of quiet space that feels like therapy. It made me want to slow down, notice more, and move through life with a bit more softness. Not every film stays with you. This one will.
Perfect film.
