Hamnet
I enjoyed this wayy more than I thought I would.
The cinematography was absolutely amazing. The lighting was great and natural, the settings were beautiful, and it didn’t really feel like a modernisation of the past I don’t think.
I thought the acting was brilliant as well, from everyone, I usually find child actors very hit and miss, but the two twins were amazing, especially the one who played Hamnet.
Hamnet’s death scene absolutely broke me, as a twin I would also trick death. Jessie’s acting in that scene was soo good, it really was like she was a grieving mother, I thought she was probably the best throughout.
The play at the end was really good as well, I just enjoyed everything about it, even the background characters
Didn’t expect much really going into this movie, and was absolutely not disappointed.
Jessie Buckley deserves ALL the awards.
