Monos
The cinematography is so good. Even on rewatch I’m amazed and left speechless. For such a raw and tragic film depicting war it’s incredible how beautiful it is, even some of the most graphic and brutal parts are just incredible to look at. They’re almost picturesque.
violence in this film for the most part happens in flashes or brief moments, shocking or stunning you before moving on so quickly you have no time to really process what’s just happened. it’s not excessive or in your face but you know it’s there and it definitely stays with you once the films finished.
