Sentimental Value

Definitely a movie that will grow on me over time as it is really thought provoking and incredibly smart. It took a while to really do anything for me but once it does the film really works. It’s a slow burner, at times a bit too slow, that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of a families connection and sentiment to each other, centred around their house. Each of them carry these memories of their lives and everyone/everything else, which adds up to make one big memory. For me this encapsulates the feeling of a time, place or moment having sentimental value.
