you know what? full five stars this time around. i used to laugh at that stupid nicole kidman amc ad but she was right! this movie does in fact make me laugh, cry, and care. because we need that, all of us, that indescribable feeling we get. somehow heartbreak feels good! our heroes feel like the best part of us, and stories feel perfect and powerful! (editing to add i watched this because i was high and scared after watching the conjuring by myself and needed a beacon of light and protection)
