Excalibur
This movie has some of if not the best style, costumes, and sets I’ve ever seen. A perfect fantasy world that engrosses you into it from the second the movie starts.
Although the movie looks absolutely gorgeous, it still has some problems, especially with pacing and not expanding on the story enough, but that come with trying to tell the whole story of King Arthur in just 2 1/2 hours. By the end it almost felt like I was watching three movies crunched down into one to save time.
Despite the flaws, it is still a great and engaging story that helps to make this movie truly a masterpiece of film.
One day I would love to see the story of King Arthur adapted into film again as well as it was with this movie, but perhaps as a trilogy this time to expand on the story and fix some pacing issues. Although I don’t want it if it fails to give a similar Dark Fantasy style to it.
