Roma

not to be dramatic or anything but Roma (2018) has changed me forever?????? it's so full of life, and love, i literally can't find the right words to describe just how incredible the impact this film had on me was. it felt less like a movie and more like reality - as if every scene was just a moment in someone else's life. it's so raw and genuine. the cinematography is absolutely breathtaking. you could choose any random frame from this movie to hang on your wall and they would all be beautiful. it's an interesting decision to produce a film in black and white considering that we are currently in the age of new, developing technology, but it really sets the tone of the film and creates an ambience. the lack of colour doesn't take anything away from this masterpiece - only enhances it. 2018 was another great year for film, and i'm glad to finish it with this one. i feel like every other new release i watched this year was just leading up to me watching this. i definitely need to rewatch soon!!!! hope y'all had a good year and i hope 2019 treats you kindly uwu
