The Holdovers

This is my second year watching this movie and it is even better the second time round, this is truly a modern day masterpiece. The dialogue is witty and funny and feels timeless in a way, the same can be said about it’s beautiful cinematography that never goes incredibly flashy with its shots but stays grounded yet beautiful while maintaining a perfectly timeless visual style with the grainer camera footage. This movie really feels like a timeless cult classic that I’m definitely going to watch for years to come. The cast are at the top of their game and work perfectly off of each other and the movie as a whole perfectly explores themes of growing up and changing connections with loved ones as you grow up and grow into yourself no matter how messy it is.
