Almost perfect. The only thing stopping this from being a 10/10 is the fact that PTA was dating Fiona Apple (the goat) at the time and yet decided to have Aimee Mann do the soundtrack. I really like these kind of movies where there are multiple stories that are connected to each other in someway. This is probably my favourite example. I absolutely love John C Reilly and Tom Cruise in this. I think they give career-best performances here (although you could argue that Tom Cruise is better in Tropic Thunder).

Daniel Day Lewis gives my all time favourite acting performance from a man in this. Top 5 movie endings of all time as well. Paul Dano is far from weak in this. In fact, I think he holds his own against Daniel Day Lewis very well.

A splendid time. Rewatch really did this one justice, I almost cried on my second viewing. A bit of a stoner comedy, but also a heartfelt family drama, but also an action movie? Great shit. This better win PTA his well overdue Oscar.

A movie in which Adam Sandler is actually good? Wtf?

GoodFellas, if it was about the porn industry. Really good. Big dick. Marky Mark is a racist asshole, but he's actually good in this. I love the part with Alfred Molina as well.

Joaquin Phoenix deserved an Oscar for his performance in this, not for Joker. PSH is also fucking phenomenal. There are certain parts of this that could make it PTA's best work, but I just found it to take its time to get to being great. Beautiful cinematography throughout.

Pretty good way to end an acting career (why did he have to come out of retirement?). Need to rewatch.

Not much of a plot to it. Gives off the same vibes as Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, only if it didn't have the brutal violence, therefore making it worse. Also she's 25 and he's 15? WTF? NO!

A really solid debut. Sin é.

I don't know what PTA was on when he was making this, but I hope he stays off it. This is not good.
