Almost Famous
Simply put, young kid gets job to write about an up and coming rock band for rolling stone magazine. Diving into the crazy and heartfelt events of life on tour as well as in-band relationships, as the young kid grows to be a true friend of his subjects. The movie is heartwarming on all levels. With an unforgettable soundtrack and a beautiful concert element in scenes that makes you feel like your a part of Stillwater. The movie showcases unusual friendships and the drifting of life once your true desires are awakened in such a beauty of a film. Patrick Fugit and Kate Hudson lead the way with their star-studded performances, really building the unknowing high-school kid vs the all-knowing experienced “band-aid” or “concert cruiser” as they both dive into the world of rock. The movie is phenomenal its a work of art not only for the writing industry but for music as well. I did watch the directors cut so it was a bit longer than me but its a heartwarming beautiful film nonetheless, worth a watch 8/10
