Annihilation

I’m impressed. A wandavision-jurrasic park mixup, kinda nice. The movie was much more than what I was expecting which ultimately improves my entire rating. Annihilation is a supernatural sci-fi mystery story with beautiful cinematography throughout, mainly through the lighting, and the refracting they did with colors. The plot was unique and ambiguous, no real explanation only more and more confusion and possibilities. The story of a group of women scientists some with military background venturing into an unexplainable zone knowing only one person has made it back out alive. It had some great moments of thrill and intensity throughout, although that wasn’t the main aspect. I think the sci-fi randomness really brought the film to life. With a star-studded cast of Portman, Oscar Isaac, Tessa Thompson and more they all played great characters in an adventurous confusing story. 8/10 - a beautiful entertaining film with an ending you won’t forget
