Vertigo
Wow. This was a beauty. Expecting nothing more than a scrappy made 50s attempt on mystery thrill, but man was it anything from scrappy. Vertigo showcases a detective falling in love with the woman he was hired to follow and protect all while battling his personal struggles. This film had multiple moments of pure shock, mainly arriving at the influential twists throughout the film that were so unique and powerful it was ridiculous. The movie showcased themes of the power of love, the untrustworthiness of friends, and the thrilling power of one’s own mind. Falling into disarray Scottie has to battle everything that goes wrong in his mind with his job and manage responsibilities. Vertigo showcases the total disillusion and psychotic breakdown of the main character. Not to mention the stunning ending leaving you wondering. I really did enjoy this film, the constant twists were fun to watch, overall 8/10 would recommend
