Enchanted

things i love about this movie: 1. the idea that “a place with no happily ever after” is the middle of times square 2. giselle calling for her animal friends and getting an army of rats and roaches to clean the apartment 3. the ska band that starts riffing with her in the middle of central park 4. every song  5. it’s earnest but also subversive and able to make fun of its own concept without coming off as corny (like most modern disney films) 6. the way that susan sarandon literally stops caring about her central motivation and just tries to kill robert out of pure spite for giselle things i did not like: 1. the cgi dragon 2. the epilogue song
