lowkey so much happens in this movie but the core struggle of luca and alberto learning to balance their own wants and needs with their relationships is so well done. and despite all the sea monster stuff honestly this is one of the most strikingly realistic pixar movies to date. like i get it. ive been alberto way too many times to count and i think a lot of people can relate to that. also the setting and characters are so charming, and honestly i can really appreciate them choosing to scale back and tell these smaller stories. i was honestly shocked how much i like this movie. did not expect to cry here but thats pixar i guess. love!
