Battle Royale
WOW. I really didn’t expect what I seen going into this. I really just thought it would be a regular 2000s Japanese action movie but i genuinely enjoyed this so much. I love the messaging. I did think the cinematography was kinda like inconsistent that’s probably like the one critique there were some really beautiful shots but I felt a lot of it wasn’t that good but at the same time there were so many beautiful shots so it’s like rlly 50-50, but anyway I loved the whole like political messagin and the whole like old generation vs new thing they had going on, I loved the psychological aspects of how their socials behavior translated to the island. And I just love the battle royale game show thing like it was rlly so ahead of its time inspired so much. So many goated ass characters too like the main 3 and mitsuko. I also felt the teacher character was rlly tragic. So much to say I loved this movie a lot. One of my new favorites
