Breathless

My second film from Godard. In only his first movie he manages to make such a  reocgnizable style. I really enjoyed this I mean such a timeless film it really paved the way for so much we see today especially with camera work. And the characters and the dialogue is all so effortlessly cool and slick. I mean really nobody does smooth talking slacker criminals like the French do.  My biggest gripe w this was probably the plot. Very simple and character motives while clever are  underdeveloped and everything just kinda happens. But I get it’s the style. Although this definitely was way more plot then i expected as I expected  much more of a vibes movie and I was pleasantly  surprised. But its so flip floppy it’s  almost like I don’t know wether it wants to be a vibe movie or a plot movie or a movie where the vibe is the plot or the plot is the vibe? Alas. I enjoyed it. Will need to see more French new wave
