The Long Goodbye

I watched this because it was leaving Amazon prime today and wow I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed this I went in not really with much knowledge or expectation just that it looked kinda cool and man this movie was cool asf everybody in it is just slick and funny and it’s interesting because usually noirs are so nonchalant but everybody in this is really chalant yet the noir vibe is still there despite a lot of comedic elements too  yet their done subtly and it blends in well. Goulds portrayal of Marlowe is probably one of my new favorite film characters ever. The cinematography on this is incredibly beautiful. This film has so much texture and the coloring is really unique it’s kind of faded and mute yet the colors still really pop I liked it a lot. The narrative was also really interesting and easy to follow and all the characters were interesting especially Marty Augustine and Roger wade. I really enjoyed this one of my new favorites for sure
