The Unvanquished
I really enjoyed the plot and character acting in this. It’s very French cinema with an interesting tense plot , political messaging, everybody being very well dressed, and dialogue and interactions and how characters behave being a main element of the storytelling. Alain delon especially in this role acted very well one of his best in my opinion with Rocco, it’s very diffferent from most of his characters yet still feels like a classic role of his and I’m sure the role felt personal for him being discharged from the military himself. My biggest issue with this movie was the cinematography for a lot of the action and dialogue sequences was very dull almost felt tv like and not like most french movies mostly the composition and subject felt kinda weird in the camerawork. but it had a lot of very good experimental shots that I really liked they tried and thought turned out well and at times it did look good.
