Ran

A film made from paintings. Chaos. Such an amazing film crafted so beautifully every scene is stunning and full of color. Each character is written so amazingly, the sons are characterised so well from the very first scene they appear that you already know what will happen to them. *“In a mad world, only the mad are sane.” * The quote demonstrates Kurosawa’s views on war, calling it mad that all these warlords are mad people. But this madness is normal for the time period and it is a way for characters to justify their own actions. If he has only known war then he has always been mad. You can truly feel the emotions of Akira Kurosawa.
