Before the Fall

"So kindisch es auch klingt, die Winterzeit und der Anblick von frisch gefallenem Schnee erfüllen uns immer mit unerklärlicher Freude." I usually don’t like war movies, but this one was very different. It’s not really about the battlefield itself. It’s about what happens behind it. Seeing the young people behind those terrible crimes and what they were forced to do, as well as what they chose to do, was fascinating. Watching how they were trained and slowly shaped by the war was one of the most interesting parts of the movie. The acting was also very good. It made the characters feel real and made their fates hit even harder. Seeing the gruesome crimes that were committed, both voluntarily and involuntarily, was genuinely shocking. Watching it all unfold visually made it even more interesting. That, mixed with strong characters and their tragic fates, made this a movie that is worth seeing.
