Monster
"If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That's just nonsense. Happiness is something anyone can have."
Oh my God. Rarely has a movie moved me this much. I have so much respect for everyone who worked on this because this story is just heartbreaking, devastating, and beautiful at the same time.
I was genuinely blown away. This movie felt like a journey and a complete rollercoaster of emotions. I loved how the different perspectives slowly revealed more and more of what actually happened. Piece by piece, you start putting everything together and realize how much lies can affect everyone involved. I also loved how the movie explores fear, how it controls people, and how everyone just wants to be seen as normal. Being different is treated like something shameful, and I think the movie portrayed that incredibly well.
I went into this with almost no expectations, and I honestly don’t think anything could’ve prepared me for it. I can’t stop thinking about this movie. Just wow.
The acting, especially from such young actors, completely blew me away. The story made me feel miserable at times, but it also gave me hope that things could eventually get better. I absolutely loved that balance.
One of my favorite things was the way the story was told. Slowly seeing more and more pieces of the puzzle and figuring out who was right, who was wrong, and what really happened kept me hooked the whole time. On top of that, every character felt well thought out and had their own struggles and secrets.
For me, this is genuinely a masterpiece and one of those movies I won’t forget anytime soon.
