least tragic wlw story such a bummer that this masterpiece is tied to a franchise (an ass one to be specific). the visuals and cinematography never fail to amaze me, it puts onto screen what i imagine rome is: from the color grading to the architecture. not to mention the hauntingly beautiful choral score (especially the one on the title card sequence).
