Bugonia

Bugonia offers a dark perspective on the trajectory that humanity is heading towards through absurdity in its story delivery.  I didn’t know what to expect going in, but this was so perfectly executed that it will be on my mind for days. Emma Stone delivered amazing comedic timing and physical performance as expected, but Jesse Plemons is the heart of this movie and has easily one of the best performances of the year.  Beautiful color grading and lighting choices. Paced so well that it flew by. Deafening score that is in-your-face and skillfully contrasts the scenes that it’s backing. Unhinged plot direction while still remaining grounded in its exploration of the subject matter. I can’t think of a single thing I would have changed. I’ll be rewatching ASAP.
