Alien: Romulus

it’s been two months since alien: romulus released in theaters and its safe to say this is my favourite film from the franchise. its perfect. i love the group and their respective dynamics with each other a lot more than the other films. i cared for each and every character (except bjorn) and found myself, rooting for them because we know why they were risking their lives to steal cryo pods from the ship. they only wanted a better life for themselves, so i thought the characters were very well-written. theres not a single boring scene throughout this entire film. it is such an entertaining film that constantly keeps you on your feet. like the offspring reveal was crazy? i don’t think i’ll ever get over that scene. even on a rewatch, i was still as scared and tensed throughout the entire thing. it is so unsettling to watch. just so fucking good man…  also, i don’t think i praised the cinematographers in my last review, this is one of the prettiest movies i’ve ever seen and i think nobody talks about it enough. every shot in this film is so beautiful to look at. especially the scenes where we see space. god, i can’t get enough of it. i love the visuals so fucking much. im so happy that this movie turned out to be good, i was so ready to be disappointed with this. anyway, i really need them to confirm the sequel with cailee spaeny and potentially david jonsson returning. i need them to give rain carradine a trilogy that she deserves. IM STILL WAITING FOR THAT RAINKAY DELETED KISS SCENE. PLEASE DONT TRY TO MAKE STRAIGHT RAIN CARRADINE HAPPEN. IT WONT HAPPEN.
