Rear Window
The perfect thriller! The set alone is stunning and the spectacle that the flick is going for could have only been captured with this massive set. The film lives and dies with the set, due to the whole film taking place on that set. You can tell immediately that it is a set, but there is something about where you just put that aside and get sucked into the wheelchair-bound world of Rear Window. The apartments all feel like their part of an ecosystem: everyone complementing each other. The film of course being about someone watching other people through boxed windows their is an analogy for watching movies. What really makes this stand out is how most of the films are frames within frames. This really elevates the film and makes you feel like you are also trying to solve a murder. The film is a lot of fun as Jeff tries to find out what happens. Then the third act starts and it gets really suspenseful and intense, ending with a edge of your seat finally. I love a great movie.
