Watching this a second time you realise that Briony isn't entirely the person to blame for this situation, but Paul.Don't get me wrong I still hate Briony for lying about seeing Robbie actually do it and thinking Robbie attacked Cecilia,but she was only a child and she didn't fully grasp what she had witnessed earlier and she thought that her lying wouldn't really matter bc she would help her cousin and who else could it be if not the man that attacked her sister earlier that day(that's what she thought at least) .But if that manwh0re pdfile figlio di p*tana didn't attack Lola at first (the thing in her hand) and then rape her, Robbie's and therefore Cecilia's future wouldn't have been ruined. I think we chose to hate Briony and think of her the villain of the story because of the internalised misogyny we have unfortunately and because she's portrayed as such(it's pretty much the plot of the movie).Still hate Briony tho,you couldn't make me like her,that psychotic btch had the same haircut for 80 years 🙏🏻.
