“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster…” When I say that I’m not a fan of excessive voiceover or freeze frames, I ain’t talking about Goodfellas! A movie so fucking good, I had to watch it all over again the next day. It’s a bloody masterpiece—the acting, the script, the cinematography, the SOUNDTRACK! I may not be Italian, but Goodfellas welcomes you into the family with pasta fazool, a cigarette and a line in the back while you watch some asshole get whacked. I know The Godfather is considered untouchable but fuck, is it close. Though let’s just say—I didn’t watch The Godfather two days in a row.
