Bugged

Incredibly better the second time. I cant believe I critically underrated this masterpiece that has a deep and powerful subtext that we all need to consider. The animation, storyline, acting etc makes this film a spectacle in the industry.  When Red blasts the bug car with his hose, I was shocked by his actions and began to dislike him as a character and I felt bad for the bug. This is a representation of society and how the aristocracy put down the lower classes without any care, because they think they can do whatever they want without repercussions.  But then, we see major character development for Red as the bug struggles before his eyes. He begins to feel regret for his actions and helps the bug automobile into the air in a kind change of heart. This made me tear up, we should all be more like Red. But then, Red suffers his fate and repents for his actions as the bugs gang up on him. We feel sorry for Red, but we are also satisfied by the deserved sweet revenge of the bugs. Overall, this film is absolute cinema. I cant believe this hidden gem isn’t well regarded enough.
