Spider-Man 2
"Sometimes to do what's right, we must be steady and give up the things we desire the most, even our dreams."
Yeah okay fairs bro. We cannot chat to Tobey Maguire's Spidey ever lmaooo. This is a ridiculously amazing film. Are comic book movies even allowed to be this good? They would shooooot you in the head if you tried to make a movie this good today. This is a serious, and I mean SERIOUSSSS contender for the best comic book movie of all time. Top 5 at the very least. This is up there with The Dark Knight, The Batman, and Logan levels of peak.
It has the coolest fucking action and web-swinging, Doc Ock is one of the most compelling villains ever with so much depth to him, and Peter Parker and his issues are just peak. His struggle with maintaining a double life, dealing with small problems like paying rent and finding a job, you just don't get that anymore.
This movie has that heart and that soul that really makes you feel something. I'm not even kidding, I almost cried at like two different points. All the conversations with Aunt May were peak. I even loved that little conversation he had with the doctor lol. I swear that guy knew. 😭
Sooooo good man. This legit has everything you could ever want from a superhero movie, and then some. Plus Sam Raimi has unlimited sauce behind that camera. The movie looks absolutely beautiful. The color grading, the orange sunshine, the dark blue and black nights, the skyline, the city lights, it's all soooo perfectly shot and edited. Absolute eye candy.
Plus, it has soooo many iconic scenes bro. I totally forgot all of this happens in one movie lol.
Now I get why Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man still gets glazed to this day, 20+ years and two Spider-Men later. Before I pressed play on this I was lowkey thinking i will be "different" and not give it an automatic 5 stars just like everybody else, cuz i thought they were all blinded by nostalgia but nah man, It's not nostalgia. These movies REALLY are that good to this day.
Also, special mention to J.K Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson bro. He is fucking hilarious lmaoooo. 😭😭😂 I know there's only one more movie left, but please keep him coming. Funniest little shit lol.
