Heat

The ultimate 90s action movie This was pretty fun, the 3 hour runtime was the main thing preventing me from seeing this movie for yeara but it flew by pretty quickly & the large scale of the story justifies the long runtime. Its well directed & very well shot with some really good action scenes that are apparently very realistic (the escape from the bank is used irl to teach people proper evasive maneuvers during gunfights). I also like how they actually gave all the characters a good amount of depth, this is definitely better written than most action movies. But with that said the sheer overabundance of storylines & characters felt a but too much at times & while the movies occasionally cheesy nature sometimes works to its favour, other times it doesn't. Overall this was a great crime movie & i can see why its so influential (Heat has influenced everything from GTA V to The Dark Knight which is pretty cool if you ask me).
