Squid Game

Decided to watch this because of how popular it's become & y'know what i enjoyed it way more than i expected. Squid Game definitely has it's flaws such as the overly melodramatic moments, the abundance of cliches, themes that are very on the nose & not subtle at all, some bad acting, & an epilogue that is pretty good but certainly drags yet overall i can overlook most of these flaws because Squid Game is very enjoyable. The show executes its concept pretty well, the games are very fun to watch & the emotional stakes work because the show does a great job at making you care for the story & characters, i never expected that i'd develop an emotional bond with the show but i genuinely got really upset at times because of how good the show is at developing these characters. And as someone who doesn't watch shows often, this honestly flew by real quick, i watched 7 episodes in a day then finished the last 2 the day after. So yeah far from perfect but i had a blast watching it, might lower the rating later but y'know what it did kinda live up to the hype.
