Johnny 316
incredible movie -- short but punchy. This movie carries a good weight to it delving into sexual desire, sin, wrath, corruption, purification and ultimately -- revenge. Vincent Gallo plays a roadside preacher, persistent yet lustful -- throughout the movie he continuously battles his own desire for sexuality, but he's already married to "god". It's less a love story and more of an infatuation with the idea of purification. Nina Boshim (sarah) is a hairdresser on the streets after losing her job, she is corrupted by a pimp and longs for some sort of solace / purification in gallo's character -- something he cannot give. Gallo's own slow corruption consumes him -- but he does not give in. In sarah's wrath she has him killed in return for a blowjob -- her swan song; her innocence is gone.
A beautifully shot arty movie, played well with amazing scenes.
almost dreamlike -- short and beautiful.
I need to rewatch without interruption.
