Fallen Angels

Probably the best cinematography I've ever seen I love how close and claustrophobic everything feels. Hong Kong looks beautiful the night time setting really compliments the underworld in which the story takes place. The themes of isolation, love and loneliness really hit hard with the different narratives in the film. It almost felt like I was watching two different films at times due to how one narrative was really funny and the other was more serious  However despite this contrast the ending ties the film up nicely as both characters, who needed someone during a dark time in their lives, confided in each other breaking their loneliness temporarily, which was quite a touching ending for this story.
