Local Hero
Such a beautiful movie, both in the way it looks and the way it feels. A poignant, bittersweet drama-comedy characterized by the juxtaposition of MacIntyre, an American oilman mistaken as Scottish, and his native Scottish companion Oldsen. As they are working on the same objective in a small yet charming town in Scotland, their lives are going in two completely opposite paths, romancewise, or actually, everythingwise. Kudos to Burt Lancaster too, and his character bugging therapist.
