The Evil Dead

I love all of the stop motion work in this. It gives a weird puppet show vibe on top of a movie that is 75% Bruce Campbell screaming while covered in blood (not that I’m complaining that’s why I watch it). I also just think it’s fun to see how this differs from the rest of the series. Rarely do I hear anything about the music but those high strung violins or whatever make me wanna cry but like in a good way. I like how Ash isn’t immediately super heroic in this, although I do prefer when he is like in Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. That’s kinda the last 20 minutes but even then he’s still not popping one liners like he’s known for. I don’t really think this is a 5 star movie but it means a lot more to me so I give it a 5. It’s probably more like a 3 and a half but whatever goofy aaaaah deadites stab people with pencils I love it.
