Dune

Here’s a telling fact about me - I’m a pretty hard core sci-fi geek and I refuse to read Dune. I did watch the David Lynch version and didn’t hate it as much as everyone else. I had refused to watch this version because I saw it as an over-bloated story that was trying real hard to be a message.  I finally had a friend challenge me to watch it and was pleasantly surprised. While it was exactly what I expected it was also a well-done production. By just focusing on the first part of the story they were able to keep the pace moving.
