Oldboy
Some film make you laugh. Other hurts you in the best way possible. Oldboy by Park Chan-wook is a brutal, unforgettable classic that grabs you by the throat and won't let go until the very end. The film is like a fever dream that you can't get out of. Every frame feels like it was planned, from the cold concrete of Woo-jin's apartment to the strange flashbacks that make you wonder what's real. It's amazing to see Oh Dae-su change from a drunk man to a monster filled with revenge. This film is just a tragedy wrapped in a philosophical thriller. Yes, that ending. The way it changes everything hits like a truck, even if you know it's coming. What starts out as a simple quest for payback turns into something much stranger: a story of double revenge in which the lines between monster and victim are blurred. The last scenes, the biting of the tongue, the hypnosis, and that vague smile, leave you speechless as you try to figure out what happened.
