Frankenstein
This is the real best movie of the year, not that one-battle-after-another bullshit.
This film looks absolutely stunning. The cinematography and locations are so aesthetic and pleasing.
The character design as well as the costume design are perfect in my opinion.
The story is told in a delightful manner that I appreciate deeply, which is through chapters, and oh my days those chapters are amazing.
The acting is almost impeccable from the main cast. I loved Oscar Isaacs and Jacob Elordi’s dynamic, and my glorious king Christoph Waltz delivers a really good performance. The acting from all the main cast is very strong.
But the highlight for me is the characters and the story. The narrative is compelling and gripping, while exploring beautiful themes. The characters are complex and nuanced in ways that make you reflect.
The story and the characters impacted me deeply, especially Jacob Elordi’s creature. That character specifically touched me powerfully.
Near perfection.
