Alien: Romulus

the alien franchise had only been going down hill from the first two installments granted with a few exceptions but Alien Romulus manages to be the best in the series since Scott’s first two movies with tense moments and a genuine show of love for the material from Alvarez. Romulus has characters that emotionally impact the audience along with interesting world building and plot points. Romulus also manages to build on the first movies and add Easter eggs  from the originals. Overall Alien Romulus might just be the best movie of the summer and is definitely in the running for best movie of the year in my opinion.
