Blue Spring
I think it's your personality that's the problem
Maybe
I recommend this movie to a friend and he didn't love it (Jan can u please use ur time more wisely) and i had to watch it again it bc i recalled loving it, but i didn't know why. Until this day I cant really say what makes a movie worthy of my time and above all what makes me love it. Toshiaki Toyoda has become one of my (if not my) favorite director and I cant really say the reasons. Theres something very unique in his screenplays, an everyday thing mixed with long stares and shuffling footsteps on the floor. I love how they are like life itself, nothing is lineal, and sometimes too many things happen at the same time and sometimes nothing happens too. You know the characters even when u dont know nothing about them bc they are everywhere. They feel and are seen tired, exhausted and completely done with things that maybe are not touchable. His movies are also somehow very tender. I love how he describes violence and the ugly feelings and how the environment works for it too.
I cant really say why I do love Blue Spring, but i doooo. Maybe its the violence, maybe its those boys looking all tired and doing things not knowing why, maybe its the friendship, maybe its bc they made their lives all about a stupid game and maybe thats all it takes. I dont know and I think thats cool !!!!!
Also this i payed especial attention to the scene when Kujo is running to his friend, knowing whats going to happen. He falls and he screams and after seeing his friend dead, he looks at the floor and compares himself to the figure he himself drew on the desk. When Aoki asked him what was that, he said he didn't know. I think he meant himself and I think that when he screamed, he did it bc he realized what they said it was true: its all bc of his personality, and he cannot change it.
Its the details I guess
Thanks Jan for watching the movie one of these days I am gonna recommend something and YOU WILL LIKE IT #TRUST
