Excalibur
From start to finish I was hooked.
Excalibur immediately captures the essence of king Arthur’s tales. The sets feel alive , practical effects although cheesy, far outshine many modern day ones.
There is a beauty in its commitment to grandeur. The shimmering plate armour, large battles and over the top choreography. It’s not afraid to lean fully into high fantasy with a healthy dose of dark fantasy.
This reminded me of my childhood in all the best ways
