The Master

I honestly feel like from a purely objective point-of-view this might be Paul Thomas Anderson’s best. It is just so perfect, and done in a way you barely notice. You can really see his own style come to the forefront in this, as there are no clear influences, in contrast to his earlier career. It would be criminal not to also mention the acting, as Joaquin Phoenix and Phillip Seymour-Hoffman give two of the single best performances I have ever seen. I really think this will only get better on rewatch.
